The counter housing (10) contains a rotor (13) with a magnetic exciter (14). A stator with a receiver (17) and an electronic module are provided (18) for pulse counting, as transmitted from the exciter, with the receiver located near the rotor periphery. The electronic module has a lock for the receiver to prevent the pulse counting. The pulses are generated in response to the magnetic exciter, when the pulses do not corresp. to a preset pulse train. The housing, contg. the receiver, has a closure plate (15). The receiver is fitted in a blind bore (16) formed in the plate thickness dimension. USE - For liq. or gas vol. meters, e.g. for fuel consumption, with high precision and suppression of interference pulses.
