In the nip (21) between a counter impression cylinder (3) and blanket cylinder (4) rollers (1) are adjustably positioned on holders in such a fashion that sheets fed into the printing zone are guided and/or smoothed. Several holders are set on a cross member (5) arranged parallel to the axis of the counter impression cylinder. Each has a curved carrier (7) and in each of the curved carriers a slidable bow (5) is guided to permit adjustment relative to the periphery of the counter impression cylinder. The projecting end of the bow carries a freely rotatable running roller (1).
