The invention relates to a method and a device for teaching hairdressing. The device includes mainly a dummy's head 1 onto which is fixed a magnetic head piece 2, on which are delimited, by lines 3, 4 and 5 marked with felt-tip marker, areas including lines 6, defined as a function of the natural growth of the hairs and the cut to be obtained, with respect to which there are fixed, by magnetisation, articulated supports 70 including a rib 72 fitted with a slot 73 in which a sheet of paper 80 is clipped. The sheets of paper 80 represent locks of hair which it then suffices to cut with scissors, proceeding as with real locks of hair. Applications: hairdressing. IMAGE
