The maintenance and blocking product for puncture holes in tyre casing is of the type made up of a plugging agent such as rubber particles, a reaction-activator, a coating agent, a thickener, an antifreeze, a rust preventer and water in sufficient quantity; the said product is characterised in that the plugging agent is made up of rubber particles preexpanded in an organic solvent, the said plugging agent acting in synergism with another plugging agent of cellulose powder swollen in water, the thickener is xanthan powder and the colloidal coating agent is aluminium magnesium silicate; it includes a bactericide. The invention applies especially to tyres for motor vehicles, bicycles and motorcycles and lorries.
