Diamines have application in plant protection. They combine the advantages of phosphoro-organic substances as pesticides and of the other active moieties - the alene system of double bonds and the different heterocyclic amine resides. The diamides of the 3,3-dialkyl-1,2-alkadiene phosphonic acids have the following common formula I:where R isIMAGER1 and R2 are lower alkyl radicals or R1+R2 are cyclohexyl. They are obtained by the interaction between dihalogeno anhydrides of 3,3-dialkyl-1,2-alkadienephosphonic acids and the heterocyclic amines III in a medium of anhydrous organic solvent, preferably benzene or diethyl ether, at a temperature of -20 to 40 degrees C in the presence of an organic base, preferably triethylamine. Yields vary between 80 and 90%.
