ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSUREA surround for an exterior fitting of a house. Thefitting is mounted on a wall having a finishing surfacemounted on a sheathing. The surround has a backing plate tobe mounted on the sheathing. An opening in the backing platereceives a fitting. There is a wall extending outwardly fromthe backing plate to surround the fitting. The backing platecan be attached to the sheathing. A trim plate is receivedby the backing plate and also has an opening to receive thefitting. The trim plate is received by the wall of thebacking plate with a frictional fit.
