Polysaccharides with antiphlogistic activity, method for obtaining them and pharmaceutical compositions containing the same

The invention relates to polysaccharides from plants of the Achyroclin species, having antiphlogistic action. It was found that two polysaccharides which can be isolated from Achyroclins and have average molecular weights of 6,000 to 8,000 D and 13,000 to 17,000 D, respectively, display excellent antiphlogistic or anticomplementary activities in in vitro and in vivo tests.
