The item is of composite material, having a supporting layer (3) of fibre-reinforced synthetic resin or metal. This is clad on one or both sides with one or more layers of metal (1,2), these being either flat or profiled to a set pattern. The layers in contact with the supporting one are of zinc, aluminium or steel. and can have a mean particle diameter of between 0.5 and 1.2mm.
