A retaining sheet (5) bonded firmly to the mouth of the bag (4) incorporates a dust inlet (7) for a hose connection on the cover of the appliance. Two finger holes (9) are formed near the end of a slider (11) which covers the inlet (7) when the full bag is oulled out for disposal. The travel of the slider (11) is restricted by a stop (13) and catch (14). ADVANTAGE - The bag is locked securely in position even if the slider is operated incorrectly, mfd. together with its retainer and locking device from inexpensive degradable cardboard.
