The data from the leading missile are compared with that of the following missile, then course correction commands are sent to the latter. Pref., automatic transmission of height position is sent to the following missile, along with correction data referring to `ideal' tracking position. Ideally, the processor on the ground determines gyroscope drift rate differences. ADVANTAGE - Only inexpensive gyroscopes required.
