The labelling-machine consists of a glued-coated rotating drum for removing the labels from a fixed label-box (21). The drum (7, 8, 19) has at least one pivot-mounted segment (16) shorter than the label so that it grips only the front end. The segment has a tilting-guide (17) displaced tangentially in relation to the tilting-axle (15) on a tilt-guide curve (18) rotating with the drum. The front edge of the segment (16) placed on the front end of the label-box (21) winds in the direction contrary to the direction of travel (20). USE/ADVANTAGE - The label is more securely gripped from a movable segment of a drum.
