The hearing aid has a microphone (13) encapsulated and sealed hermetically for implantation. A sound conducting tube (16) is provided for supplying the acoustic signals to the microphone. The end of this tube projects into the tympanic cavity. USE/ADVANTAGE - User is able to recognise position or location of sound source. Inconspicuous in normal use or at work.
