The safety belt is esp. for vehicles. It has a clip (11) and fastener (10), either of which can be attached to the belt (12). To aid fastening and unfastening of the belt in darkness, luminous matter (23, 20) is applied to or embedded in the clip and fastener, esp. on the belt release button (19). The luminous matter (24) can also be provided on the belt and may take the form of paint, a thin strip or be integral with the component material. USE/ADVANTAGE - Faster and easier use of the vehicle safety belt in darkness.
