An information processing system contains at least two processors, each (100) contg. a comparison device (110) for synchronising one to the other in response to a command. Data to be overwritten by the other processor are repeatedly compared with synchronising data defined by the first processor. A synchronisation complete signal is produced when a defined comparison result is achieved. The operation is terminated if a time expires of after a defined number of repetitions without achieving the defined result. USE/ADVANTAGE - High speed synchronisation is achieved in multi-object environment. Busy state wait time is measured without overhead.
