The prepn. of a conc. soln. which can be used to supply a device for generating a dialysis bath of volumetric type with discontinuous suction comprises allowing water at a temp. kept essentially constant to flow directly through a container contg. the prod. to be dissolved in powder form under an excess gas pressure kept essentially constant and then leading the soln. leaving the container directly into the device for generating the dialysis bath. USE/ADVANTAGE - The process is simpler, cheaper and more reliable than previous processes. The resulting solns. can be used in dialysis e.g. for kidney patients.
