P This implant comprises in combination a pair of clips (2) provided with points (3) and screws (5) for fixing to two corresponding vertebrae (V2, V4) as well as notches (23) for support of the ends of the branches of a distraction clamp, a rigid plate (6) connecting between the two clips (2), the ends of which are pierced with orifices (17) into which threaded parts (12) can engage staples (2) and whose length (L) corresponds to the distance between the posterior orifices (9) of the staples (2) after distraction of the vertebrae, and finally nuts (7) for rigidly securing the plate (6) and the staples (2). This implant has the particular advantage of allowing distraction by pressing the forceps on the staples, instead of the vertebrae, which was not possible with the known anterior plates; moreover it is compact while being sufficiently solid, and thus avoids any risk of friction with the aorta. /P
