METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CONVEYING TIRE TREAD PART EXTRUDED UNDER HEATING TO AUTOMOBILE TIRE ASSEMBLING MACHINE

PURPOSE:To directly convey a tire tread produced by special extrusion under heating to a tire assembling machine. CONSTITUTION:A method of and an apparatus for directly conveying the heated part 4 of a tire tread 3 extruded to a tire assembling machine 5. In this case, the tread parts 4 with a given length, which are obtained by cutting the tread 3 produced continuously by an extruder 2 at first velocity V1, are continuously conveyed to the tire assembling machine 5 at second velocity V2 different from the first velocity V1, without causing any distortion or stretching of the tread parts 4, by using a conveying apparatus 1 having an input conveyor 11 for holding thereon the continuous tread 3 at the first velocity V1, allowing the same to pass through a cutting means 12, and conveying the cut tread parts 4 to an output conveyor 17 having a length at least equal to the length of the tread parts 4.
