PURPOSE:To constitute a reliable pillar and beam joining part by insertedly fitting a sheath pipe extending over the captital and the pedestal of adjoining steel pipe pillars, injecting grout material in the gap to join, and in case of joining of a beam, joining a beam to a joining piece provided on the sheath pipe. CONSTITUTION:A joining sheath pipe B is formed into a little larger section than a rectangular steel pipe pillar A and a diaphragm 1 is fixedly secured. To the capital part and the pedestal part of the rectangular steel pipe pillar, L-shaped steel pieces 2 to be seated with the sheath pipe B, and L-shaped steel pieces 3 for preventing exposure of grout material are welded. Next, the sheath pipe B is insertedly fitted to the capital part and pedestal part and seated on the steel piece 2 and temporarily fixed with bolts 4 so as to form a gap for injection of grout material. Next, on the diaphragm 1 of the sheath pipe B, a beam bracket 1a is provided, and a beam C is joined to it with bolts. Hereby, welding work in a field can not be needed for joining of the steel pipe pillar A with the same and with the beam C.
