PURPOSE:To enable quantitative analysis of the correlation of vibration with a radiation sound of the vibration by a method wherein a matrix of a frequency response function and a spectrum of a radiation sound from a point of excitation are subjected to an 1/N octave real time analysis and superposed. CONSTITUTION:All measuring points on a vibrating body 17 are excited as points of excitation sequentially, and a matrix of a frequency response function is determined on the basis of the ratio between acceleration outputs of vibrations detected at all the measuring points and forces of excitation at all the points of excitation by a Fourier transform device 5. Meanwhile, a sound level meter 7 detects a radiation sound of a frame 17, a frequency analysis of an input signal is executed by a fast Fourier transform device 9 and thereby a spectrum of the sound is determined. Then, the matrix of the frequency response function and the spectrum of the sound radiated from the point of excitation are subjected to a 1/N octave real time analysis 11 and superposed. Thereby the vibration, the degree of reduction in the amplitude of the frequency thereof and the number of phons of the sound of the corresponding frequency reduced consequently are discriminated with ease, and the correlation of the vibration with the sound radiated from the vibration can be determined quantitatively.
