CONNECTING STRUCTURE FOR OCTAGONAL APARTMENT HOUSE

PURPOSE:To improve habitability and external appearance of two housing units in octagonal shape, by installing between them a connecting unit with two sides, each of which is longer than one side of the octagonal unit, and by providing therein an entrance hall and a spiral staircase. CONSTITUTION:Between two housing units 2 and 2 in octagonal plane figure, made by chamfering four corners of a square, a connecting unit 3 with two sides, each of which is longer than one side of the octagonal housing units 2 and 2, is installed. An entrance hall 7 is provided in the first floor or the connecting unit 3 and a spiral staircase 4 is arranged on the other end. An external wall 3a on the side of the staircase 8 is formed with a plane in parallel with the exterior side of the housing units 2 and 2.
