METHOD AND DEVICE FOR CONTROLLING BUSINESS OFFICE EQUIPMENT AND COMMUNICATING WITH BUSINESS OFFICE EQUIPMENT

PURPOSE: To communicate with and control target equipment by making an external device to perform access to the state of the target equipment by providing business equipment, a control panel, storing means for respectively storing static state, semi-static state, and dynamic state, a monitoring and processing means, and a system controlling and processing means. CONSTITUTION: A device for controlling and communicating with business office equipment incorporates business equipment 10, such as the facsimile equipment, copying machine, or printer, etc., and a communication processing means 201 for the equipment 10 having a communication processing means 101 which communicates with an console panel 20 and is provided with the panel 20 which controls the mechanical operation of the equipment 10. In addition, the equipment 10 is provided with a means 107 which stores static state data indicating the characteristics of the equipment 10, a means 106 which stores the semi-static state data of the equipment 10, a means 105 which stores the dynamic state data of the equipment 10 which vary depending upon the mechanical state of the equipment 10, a monitoring and processing means 104, and a system controlling and processing means 102 which controls the operations of the whole system of the equipment 10. Therefore, target equipment can be controlled by making a single or a plurality of external devices to communicate with the target equipment by performing access to the equipment.
