AGENT AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING INJURIOUS INSECT IN SEWAGE TANK

PURPOSE:To continuously control injurious insects for a definite period by preparing a sewage tank-injurious insect control agent, receiving the agent in a receiving tool and disposing the tool in a space of the sewage tank, the agent being prepared by carrying an insect growth-inhibiting agent and an ordinary temperature volatile insecticide on a volatile substance. CONSTITUTION:An insect growth-inhibiting agent (e.g. 2-[1-methyl-2-(4-phenoxy) ethoxy]pyridine} and an ordinary temperature volatile insecticide [e.g. (R,S)-1- ethynyl-2-methylpent-2-enyl-(1R) cis/trans-crisnatemate] are carried on a volatile substance (e.g. para dichloro benzene, 2,4,6-triisopropyl-1,3,3-trioxane) to provide the subject injurious insect-controlling agent. The insect growth-inhibiting agent and the ordinary temperature volatile insecticide are preferably impregnated into the powder of a substance having a relatively large specific gravity, such as silica gel. The control agent is received in a container, bag, etc., and disposed in the space of the sewage tank.
