MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR VARIABLE LENGTH CONTROL INFORMATION ON JAPANESE WORD DOCUMENT EDITING SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To realize simple and high-speed access processing by storing only the character and control data of the same length in a text area. CONSTITUTION:The text data 21 is read into a data register 27 every two bytes and the presence or absence of a control sequence identification code X30EF is checked. A first 2-byte data XCEE3 shows the character data of the fixed length and written on a text area 24. The next 2-byte data is decided as the head part of a control sequence and converted into control data X1000 to be stored in the area 24 in place of a control sequence X30EF032181. A variable length part X032181 of the control sequence is stored in an idle area of a control sequence storing area 22. At the same time, a storing position address is stored in an index table 23.
