PURPOSE:To estimate the ground resistance of a transmission line steel tower leg without removing an overhead earth-wire by measuring the ground resistance of a dummy steel tower leg provided near the transmission line steel tower leg to be measured. CONSTITUTION:A dummy steel tower leg 4 is grounded into soil 3 near the transmission line steel tower leg 2 of a transmission line steel tower 1.
