PURPOSE:To perform excavating-advancing work efficiently by transmitting impact motion to be generated at the time of the explosion combustion of an internal combustion engine set in an excavating-advancing machine main-body, as an impact oscillation force in the vertical direction, to an excavating-advancing rod, and by transmitting the rotation of a crank to an excavating-advancing pipe. CONSTITUTION:An impact oscillation force in the vertical direction with main impact motion and oscillation to be generated at the time of the explosion combustion of an internal combustion engine 2 set in an excavating-advancing machine main-body 1, is transmitted to an excavating-advancing rod 3. Then, the rotation of a crank 4 due to the explosion combustion of the internal combustion engine 2 is transmitted to an excavating-advancing pipe 6 set in the excavating-advancing machine main-body 1, by gear mechanisms 5. After that, with the self-weight of an excavating-advancing machine A is addition to the joint action of the impact oscillation force in the vertical direction, of the excavating-advancing rod 3, and the rotation of the excavating- advancing pipe 6, excavating-advancing is performed.
