DRY TYPE CONTINUOUS WIRE DRAWING DEVICE FOR WIRE ROD

PURPOSE:To obtain a dry type continuous wire drawing device which obtains a wire rod of high quality under excellent environmental operation conditions by providing a descaling device, lubrication treating device equipped with dies, and device which detects a surface flaw and performs automatic renovation successively in series. CONSTITUTION:The wire rod 1 unwound from a payoff stand 2 passes through a straightening machine 3 and is descaled by a shot blast device 4. Then, it is drawn through a lubricious surface vessel 5, reinforcing lubricant vessel 7, and die pre-lubricant vessel 9 in a tandem array equipped with a lubricious surface press-contacting die 6, reinforcing lubricant press-contacting die 8, and wire drawing die 10. The feed speed of the drawn wire rod 1' is detected by a feed speed indicator 11, whose signal is inputted to a control unit 12 for controlling a take-up speed. The drawn wire rod 1' is supplied to a surface flaw detector 13, whose signal is inputted to the control unit to put an automatic renovating device in operation on the basis of the command of the control unit. The renovated wire rod is wound around a winding machine 15.
