METHOD FOR MUTUAL CONVERSION OF EMISSION CONTROL SIGNAL OF CRT COLOR DISPLAY AND CIE TRISTIMULUS VALUES OF OBJECT COLOR

摘要

PURPOSE:To execute mutual conversion with excellent precision in color reproduction by determining experimentally a conversion formula which expresses the relation between CIE tristimulus values XS.YS.ZS of an object color and CIE tristimulus values XK.YK.ZK of an illuminant color. CONSTITUTION:As to an object color of which CIE tristimulus values XS. YS.ZS (JIS z8722) in a set environment of color comparison is known, an experiment wherein an illuminant color perceived to be the same color by visual observation is displayed in a color-matching area (6) of a CRT screen (1) is contucted in a trial-and -error manner and a function Gi (i=X,Y,Z) of a formula I is deter mined experimentally. By using formulas I and II, formulas III and IV of mutual conversion of emission control signals VR.VG.VB of the illuminant color per ceived to be the same color visually and the CIE tristimulus values XS.YS.ZS of the object color are determined.
