TRANSFERRING OF ARTICLES TO BE TRANSFERRED

PURPOSE:To improve working efficiency during transferring in a production line by arranging engagement parts which engage with carrier passages respectively on the front and rear parts of articles to be transferred, and installing forked routes on the carrier passages to guide the engagement parts respectively to the routes different from each other with the forked routes. CONSTITUTION:Carriage C are held with the fronts and rears of vehicle bodies B fitted to each other, and engagement parts H1, H2 are made to engage with a carrier rail R for transferring. When they reach the inlet part of a drying furnace F, a sensor, which is not illustrated here, comes into action at a branch part P1 to connect the carrier rail R and a route R1 with each other and disconnect the carrier rail R and a route R2. As a result, the engagement part H1 of the carriage C moves to the route R1, and advances in a crossing condition to the rail R as illustrated. Next, after changing over the carrier rail R1 to the route R2, the engagement part H1 is made to enter the route R2 (condition (c)). At a junction P2, route connection is also changed over in order in the same way to return to a condition (e) for transferring.
