A combustion gas mixing chamber (1) is supplied with component gasses through feed lines (2,3) e.g. natural gas and air. Mixed gas is supplied from the mixing chamber to the burners (4). Gas supply is regulated by a conventional reversible servo motor operated ball valve (6,7). A valve position transmitter (18) is mounted on the shaft which provides an electrical output relative to valve position. A regulating valve (10) is located in the air supply and is also driven by a servo motor (12) controlled by signal converter (13) which receives signals from the gas valve transmitter. Thus the air-valve is opened or closed in response to increases or decreases in gas supply without physical connecting mechanisms.
