Registering hit positions of practice shells or projectiles - assigning sensor chain to practice target responding to pressure wave to supply evaluating unit with pulses offset w.r.t. time
Registering hit positions of practice shells or projectiles - assigning sensor chain to practice target responding to pressure wave to supply evaluating unit with pulses offset w.r.t. time
The stationary or moving practice target is provided with a roughly straight line of sensors forming a chain so that the flight path of the practice shell or projectile approaches it close enough for its pressure wave to be detected. The sensors, affected by this pressure wave, deliver pulses, offset in time, to an evaluating unit deriving the sectional hyperbola of the shell's Mach cone. The location of the shell's channel in the target area is derived from the timed pulse train of a central sensor and the following sensors responding to the pressure wave.
