A device for centring the printing ribbon particularly on plotters of templates used for cutting fabrics for the creation of clothing of various shapes and sizes including two pairs of feeder rollers to pull the feeding ribbon along the longitudinal edges of the said ribbon, driven step by step in multiple releases associated with one of the said pulling rollers from each pair, equipment which is sensitive to the position of the ribbon and control of the said equipment, step by step in multiple releases in different amounts for each step, tracking the phasing of the ribbon being fed through and adjustment mechanisms associated with the other roller of each pair to record the pressure of pulling on the said ribbon being fed through.
