An explosion-proof porcelain housing for use ina gas-filled insulating apparatus,comprises an porcelainhousing body, and a first and second films. The firstfilm is made of a first insulating material having lowhardness and high elasticity, and is bonded to an innersurface of the porcelain housing body. The second filmis made of a second insulating material having highhardness and high mechanical strength, and is bonded toan inner surface of the first film. A process forproducing such an explosion-proof porcelain housing isalso disclosed.
