Displacement water craft with length/width ratio greater than 8 with regard to the central hull or float (2). At least two lateral floats (3, 4) are provided with a constantly submerged part. The horizontal cross-sections of the lateral floats are determined so that the righting moment which they produce upon listing corresponds at least for the small angles to those of a conventional single-hulled craft.
