The digital transmission procedure, at a bit frequency of 2,048 k bits/s, uses an auxiliary channel signal at 64 kbit/s, with code transparent transmission of the separation points signal. A coded mark inversion code, or a modified coded mark inversion code is used. A clock extraction stage controlling a signal sampling stage is coupled to a decoder. ADVANTAGE - Reduced decoding error rate.
