Caller identification appts. for telephone - uses internal storage of known names and numbers to display caller's name when number is received from digital exchange

The appts. allows for the identification of callers by receiving the caller's number in tone-encoded form. This number can then be displayed at the receiver. The detector (1) stores the received number in a register (2). The control unit (3) checks the number against a list of numbers and names in memory (5), which have been fed in via local input (4). If a match is found, the caller's name can be sent to the display.
