Pipe bend section for connection to straight end pipes - has two shells with chamfered outer edges, inner shell welded first and second welded on top

The pipe bend section has ends connected to straight end pipese, for use with coolers or heat exchangers. The pipe bend comprises on outer shell (1) and an inner shell (3). All outer edges are chamferred at an angle best suited to welding. Both shells have an open half circle cross section and are arranged symmetrically about the pipe centre line (5). To manufacture a pipe bend connection, first and inner shell is welded to the straight pipe ends. The outer shell is then placed on top and welded to the pipe ends, as well as to the inner shell. ADVANTAGE - A simple and secure welding of the pipes with the pipe bend.
