The screwnut arrangement has an outer element (1) and a two-segmented inner section (2). The inner segments (2) pivot w.r.t. each other, forming a front portion (9), with an internal thread (11) and an outer surface, over which the outer element can be slid for mutual locking. In this state, the segment joining edges (18), over the rear portion, are spaced from each other. - By sliding the outer element rearwards and pivoting the segments together over their rear portion, the internal thread is opened, allowing release from a corresponding screw.
