A process for mfr. and identification of ready-prepared meals is described which enables diabetics or others with special dietary needs to determine the suitability of the meal for their needs. A package for the meal has a description of the food contents, information on use, storage details and a clear indication of the carbohydrate exchange. Special symbols indicating suitability for diabetics are displayed on a prominent, separate area of the package. USE/ADVANTAGE - The invention enables diabetics to readily identify the constitution of a pre-prepared meal and also the suitability for their diet.
