Device consists of an electro-magnetically (7) operated bolt (10) which normally is spring-biased (9) in a forward position which forces ball (17) towards the left, thereby blocking the passage of pressurised fluid from entry channel (23) to depressurising channel (24) and causing the fluid to flow via channel (25) to chamber (26) where it acts with spring (27) to force piston towards the left and close spray opening (31). When the electromagnet is activated, the bolt is withdrawn towards the right, thereby releasing ball (17) which moves towards the right to block channel (23). The fluid in chamber (26) is evacuated via channels (25, 24) and the piston forced to the right against the spring pressure (27) by fluid entering (32) under pressure. This fluid is then released from spray opening (31). ADVANTAGE - Device has small dimensions and is easy to construct and dismount. Parts can easily be exchanged, thereby reducing costly down-time.
