Series electrical clamp with collector rail terminal - has contact element permanently contacting current rail and selectively fitted to collector rail

The clamp has a sliding contact element (5) of a good conductivity material displaced relative to a current rail (8), with a clamping spring (14) acting on the contact element (5) to ensure a permanent electrical contact with the rail (8). A spring-loaded clamp arm (13) of the forked mouth of the contact element (5) allows an electrical contact with a collector rail (4) to be provided at the opposite side to the current rail (8). Pref. the contact element (5) is contained within an insulating housing (3) with an access opening covered by an insulating slider (6) displaced in conjunction with the contact element (5). USE/ADVANTAGE - Allows low-cost mass prodn. of electrical equipment.
