The drive system is operated by the loading force provided by a passing road or rail vehicle on a pressure pad or pressure rail (3). This lies slightly above the road or rail surface, so that it is depressed upon passage of the vehicle wheels. The released pressure upon passage of the vehicle is converted into a rotation via a lever arm (4) with a gear toothed section cooperating with a splined drive shaft (5). The latter is used to drive an electrical generator (10) and carries a flywheel mass. USE/ADVANTAGE - Environmentally friendly energy generation.
