Treadmill for animal experiments - includes device to provide pulses of air, controlled by sensor

The treadmill consists of a belt within a chamber plus a simulator system to blow air onto the animal inside. The simulator (29) should be at the rear end of the chamber and blows air pulses into this whenever the animal is in the range of a sensor (15a-f) arranged in the rear part of the chamber. The duration of the air pulses is regulated by a control device (26). Pref. a plastics housing is placed on the assembly composed of belt, air nozzle, sensors and air feeds. USE/ADVANTAGE - Medical etc. research, laboratory animals. Experiments are carried out in stress-free conditions using easily cleaned belt etc. and air pulse control, using plastics housing for removal for cleaning.
