Hand-guided cut-off machine for quarry stone - has dust stream collected by suction nozzle at leading corner of guard extending down sides of cutter

The machine, which has a motor driven saw or abrasive cut-off disk, is fitted with a cutter guard (7). The sides of the guard extend downwards to cover the cutter (2) for a distance just below the cutter rotational axis. The direction of rotation (8) of the cutter is chosen such that the stream of dust particles produced is ejected in the direction of feed (6) and is collected by a suction nozzle (9) extending tangentially downwards to the leading corner of the guard. The dust is drawn off through a flexible hose connected to the nozzle. USE/ADVANTAGE - Greatly improved dust extraction from circular saw cutting stone from quarry.
