The converter for the GHz range uses a substrate inserted perpendicularly in a hollow waveguide (10). The substrate has a metallic coating defining a metal structure (30), with a window at its centre, which is insulated from the hollow waveguide and galvanically capacitively and/or inductively coupled with the space outside the hollow waveguide in a passive and/or active component.
