The mouse, operated from a fixed position, has a cylindrical base unit supporting a cap that can be tilted in any direction relative to the horizontal. The cap is retained on flexible members. Four strain gauges are positioned to generate plus and minus x and y coordinate signals when tilted by applied hand pressure. ADVANTAGE - Allows mouse to be operated from fixed position.
