The direction or position finding system copes with a moving target (6) and employs at least two sensors (2,4) for finding the bearings of the target object. These sensors have an undefined relative position. The sensors are equipped with a stage (10,12) for comparing the signs of the angular velocities (omega 1, omega 2) of the bearings and a signal stage (14) connected to the output of the comparator for responding to a difference in sign and indicating a target moving over the boundary line (A) between the sensors. USE/ADVANTAGE - Improved monitoring of target without knowing relative distance and angular position of two sensors. Suitable for military and naval use.
