The inertial property measurer contains an adjustable block, a swing device with a replaceable pendulum plate and a displaceable, rotatable plate (5). An oscillation measurement recording and light barrier time measuament arrangement are used in combination. The displaceable, rotatable plate enables defined positional variations of the body (11) which is mounted by clamps (10) which prevent it from sliding. The duration of the large amplitude damped pendulum oscillation can be accurately measured. USE/ADVANTAGE - For rigid body mechanical measurement. Performs technically complex function in automated process involving error analysis.
