Assembly to filter fluids laden with magnetic and non-magnetic solids - has latter section of magnetic roller in direction of rotation removing magnetic particles from tanks as roller rises above fluid surface
Assembly to filter fluids laden with magnetic and non-magnetic solids - has latter section of magnetic roller in direction of rotation removing magnetic particles from tanks as roller rises above fluid surface
In an assembly which separates magnetic and non-magnetic particles and removes these both from fluid, particle-laden fluid is introduced to a tank where non-magnetic particles sink onto a fleece belt while a nearby magnetic roller attracts magnetic particles. Latter sector of the magnetic roller in the direction of rotation, removes magnetic particles from the tank as the roller rises above the fluid surface. Plate separates the fluid from treatment from the magnetic roller in the immediate vicinity of entry to the tank. Assembly (1) incorporates rollers (7) within a tank (13) through which a fleece belt (12) moves in close proximity to a magnetic roller (5). Final sector (19) of the rollers emerging from the fluid lifts the magnetic particles out of the fluid (20) where they are then removed. Roller pref. rotates against the inflow of fluid to be treated, following which the fluid then flow through the space between the roller and fleece belt. Scraper removes the magnetic particles from the roller and drops them into a separate container. USE/ADVANTAGE - Enables magnetic solids to be sepd. from the cake of non-magnetic solids which arise when fluids are used to cool grinding, milling and drilling processes.
