The invention relates to a modular element for producing structures having a spherical surface and to the application of a set of these elements to the production of such structures. The modular element consists of a thin and flexible sheet W of which the perimeter, provided with notches 5A, 2B, 3C is defined as the spherical projection of an inscribed regular polyhedron. The structure with a spherical surface (internal view) consists on the one hand of the assembly of the modular elements W made from a transparent material, and, on the other hand, of elements V which line them internally and are visible from outside. The structures with a spherical surface according to the invention are particularly intended to act as an advertising support and as light fittings. IMAGE
