P The sealing strip is intended for refrigeration and preservation chambers accessible to man and in which the sealing strips (1) made of a plastic material in the form of foam, are arranged in the interstices of joints between the wall, floor and ceiling elements forming the enclosure, presenting a cutting width (B) corresponding to the joint depth (T). According to the invention, the sealing strip (1) is wider than the cutting width (B) corresponding to the depth of the joint (T). At least one longitudinal edge (2) of the sealing strip (1) is folded back by the value of the additional width (B1), and the folded longitudinal edge (2) is fixed to the remaining part of the sealing strip (1). Thanks to this, the visible surface of the sealing strip, namely the surface facing outwards on the enclosure, is free of pores and has a smooth surface state. /P
